Courteney's love of musical theater and jazz started when she was in grammar school in Brooklyn, NY, where she learned Broadway showtunes in the school choir.  In 2011, Courteney became the Music Minister at Bethel AME Church in Freehold, NJ where she began a jazz series called Jazz Under the Stars. This summer showcase, which ran for three years, featured local jazz musicians and herself singing jazz standards. In early 2016, Courteney performed in Granny's Blue-mers, a vaudville cabaret show, where she cut her teeth on baudy blues by Bessie Smith.

When the pandemic hit and all music venues were closed, Courteney decided to expand her professional musical repertoire by including musical theater and jazz to her classical music repertoire. To facilitate this change, she created the brand WildDiva Music & Media. The purpose of this brand is to create shows where music is the central character. The first series she created was WildDiva MusicFest. In this series, Courteney is the show's host and performs musical theater (legit & belt), as well as jazz standards and opera arias. Below are two shows from WildDiva MusicFest Season 3, a jazz selection and a clip from the Granny's Blue-mers performance. Enjoy!
